Kia Imagine Concept Car

Kia’s on a roll with its concepts right now – just have a gander at the Kia Futuron and Kia Habaniro. The Imagine, well, imagines what a four-door saloon might look like if it looked more like an SUV that was trying to look like a coupe. The Imagine is purely a figment for now, but you can still lease an electric Kia in the UK. So have a look at the Kia e-Niro. We also think you should have a look at the Tesla Model X, Jaguar I-PACE and Peugeot e-2008 too. Imagine that

Kia wanted to get our hearts racing with the new Imagine concept and we reckon they've smashed it. As their first four-door all-electric it's a little hard to define. With smatterings of sports-car, SUV and saloon all pooled into one. And we just can't get enough.

Dazzling displays
Cool styling features include a windscreen that stretches right back over the roof (expect a bit more than a £50 excess on your insurance when it cracks) and rear-hinged rear doors that open wide to reveal a gorgeous interior like a business-class lounge. There are also 21 ultra hi-res screens – literally a joke to point fun at far-flung concepts. Expect them to be mostly gone when Kia launches something similar in 2021.

Lavishly luxurious
Details are sketchy on the actual electric drivetrain bit, but the grapevine reckons Kia is gunning for a luxury GT feel for the driving experience, plus 500 miles of range and an induction-charge battery pack – so you’d just park the Kia over the charging pad and the battery would instantly begin charging. This stuff is coming for real too.
