Polestar Precept Concept Car

Polestar was once a race team (pole position, geddit?) with strong links to Volvo. These days Polestar is the once boxy, now increasingly sexy Swede’s in-house high-performance EV brand. The Precept saloon/coupe concept warms us up for Polestar’s future design direction, so expect to see its crisp lines translated to the higher-riding Polestar 3 SUV, due to arrive 2021. The closest production models available to lease in the UK right now are the fabulous Porsche Taycan and the Tesla Model S. Check them out and then if you wanna chat just drop us a note or call us on 020 8012 8190.

High tech on the inside
There’s more tech crammed in the Precept than a reclaimed loft apartment in San Francisco. Stuff like a 15-inch interface that recognises you as you amble up and pre-selects personal settings, eye tracking that automatically adjusts how info is presented, and video streaming so you can catch up on Netflix while bagging a quick charge and a coffee.

Tastes odd, looks great
The Precept’s all about sustainability. Take the stunning four-seat interior, which replaces plastic with flax-based composites, leather with 3D-knitted seat trim sourced from recycled bottles and regular carpets with reclaimed fishing nets. It’s so eco-friendly it’s officially vegan.

The shape of things to come
The design blends sci-fi muscle with a slippery silhouette that’s great for slicing through the air and improving driving range. Our favourite details? Those Thor hammer front lights, huge 22-inch alloys and contrasting gloss and matt surfaces. This is no daydreaming designer’s flight of fantasy – Polestar has committed to doing stuff like this soon. Yes please.
