SKODA once had a vision of an all-electric SUV (funnily enough, called the Vision IV), and this vision is now the pre-production SKODA Enyaq (still with us?). It’s one of our favourite up-and-comers in the electric SUV market, with some genuinely wicked styling and great tech. The SKODA Enyaq 0-60 is also something not be to ignored. The final specs are just b-e-a-utiful.

See, you can have brains and beauty. EV innovation didn’t just stop at performance and tech. Admire the view through a panoramic sunroof. Marvel at boot space. Or swoon at the aerodynamic sculpting.

    Welcome to the disco
    This one really appeals to our inner 8 year-old. Match the atmosphere to the soundtrack by playing around with the ambient light settings. Choose along a spectrum of colours and brightness options, or choose from a pre-set mood.

    The interior trim options have Kevin McCloud written all over them. Named Loft, Lounge and Suite, things get more leather-y the higher up the trim level you go. As does the luxury. Someone pass me a cigar.

    Middle child, rejoice!
    The combination of flat under-floor battery and long wheelbase gives loadsa interior space. Which means lots of headroom for the 6-footers among us (show offs) and plenty of room in the middle back seat, with no ridge to straddle.

    Creating an illusion (see what we did there?) of additional space, the dashboard cascades down across multiple levels. This gentle slope allows for extra storage space, as well as just looking really cool.

    If you’re feeling fancy, you can spring for the illuminated ‘crystal’ grille. This lights up the front of your car with a series of LED-lit vertical bars, making the already cool car even cooler (if that’s even possible).

  • Upholstery

    Aside from the enviro-friendly electric engine, the interior of the Enyaq is also eco-conscious. 60% of the seats are made from recycled PET bottles, while olive tree leaf extract is used to dye the leather. It’s also carbon neutral to produce.

    The upcoming Skoda Enyaq sports the edgy and angular brake lights seen on other new combustion Skodas. Between that and the signature SKODA displayed boldly across the boot, this is Skoda styling through and through. Love it.

    There’s so much luggage space in this badboy, it’s kinda ridiculous. The boot can store 585 litres. Plus, its floor space is adjustable so there’s a nifty spot to store your charge cable. And you get a bonus 18 litres in the centre cubby too.

The SKDOA Enyaq isn’t just wicked fast, it’s wicked safe too. Jam-packed with safety features, it's stupidly simple to drive and park. And most importantly, they make it kinda difficult to crash too.

    This car is safer than houses with nine whole airbags packed into the Skoda Enyaq. So if you ever find yourself in a collision in this tremendous car (although I reckon that’s unlikely with all the driver assist tech) you’re well protected. Nifty.

    With tech derived from fighter pilot jets, cruise along safe in the knowledge that you won’t miss a thing with the AR head-up display. Your speed, road signs and nav commands will all projected onto your windscreen in your field of vision.

    This car is jam-packed with safety features to protect you on the road. And, the Enyaq also protects cyclists on the road; it has a sensor that warns you if there’s a potential collision risk when opening your door (works for pedestrians too!).

  • Collision mitigation

    Look out ahead
    Drive safer with the Skoda Enyaq. Cause it comes fitted with Forward Collision Warning. This nifty tech uses sensors to detect any risk of collision ahead and warns the driver if there are any. It can even brake autonomously to avoid collisions.

  • Carplay

    Fumble no more. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – controlled by the Enyaq’s voice-activated assistant ‘Laura’ – will beam your phone home screen, complete with contacts and favourite apps, right onto the central touchscreen.

    Sat in the middle of the cascading dashboard is the 13” touchscreen. This is the centre of Enyaq’s universe. Control everything from here including climate control, the radio and driver assist safety features.

    The Enyaq iV comes in 3 models. The entry-level (the ‘60’) comes with a 62kWh battery. The ‘80’ has an 82kWh battery, which can be RWD or FWD. And the top of the range is the sporty vRS. Which has the nippiest 0-60 speed of all three.

  • Software updates

    What a smart cookie
    The Enyaq is so smart that you won’t have to go to the dealership to have the latest software installed; its in-built internet will update your car automatically giving you over-the-air software updates. Clever.

  • Charging

    With 50kW DC charging as standard, the Enyaq is a proper good plug-in-and-wait-a-little-then-go car. But if you want a little more punch, faster 100kW charging is available as an extra.
