See, you can have brains and beauty. EV innovation didn’t just stop at performance and tech. Admire the view through a panoramic sunroof. Marvel at boot space. Or swoon at the aerodynamic sculpting.

Rear lights
Ready for take off
The two dramatic Venturi tunnels through each rear quarter – inspired by Le Mans race cars – are edged with red LED ribbon-style lights, made to look like the afterburners of a fighter jet. Hidden LEDs also illuminate each tunnel. Cool.
Exterior design
A mono-what?
The Evija is the first Lotus road car to have a one-piece carbon fibre monocoque chassis. Strong, rigid and only 129kg its underside has been sculpted to optimise downforce from all those road-legal speeds you’ll be driving.

Hey, good looking!
You can’t deny it. The Lotus Evija is a seriously good-looking car. Made to look like it’s been sculpted by air flow, its muscular haunches and sharp bonnet exude luxury. And speed.
Doors
Ooh, aah doors
We’ve never heard the word ‘dihedral’ before either, but dihedral doors is what the Lotus has got. Operated by a key fob they give you max space for getting in and out, while the switch in the roof console closes them for added glamour.
Wing mirrors
Mirror, mirror?
Wing mirrors stick out. Causing drag. The Evija hates drag. So it has none. Instead, cameras in the front wings deploy when the car is unlocked. The roof camera provides a central view and the images are shown on the interior screens.

The Lotus Evija isn’t just wicked fast, it’s wicked safe too. Jam-packed with safety features, it's stupidly simple to drive and park. And most importantly, they make it kinda difficult to crash too.

Similar in style to an F1 car, the Evija’s multi-function steering wheel has grouped all its buttons into intuitive groups for easy use. Control your phone, cruise control, DRS deployment and drive modes by the flick of a thumb.

There’s no room for error in a 0-62mph in sub 3 seconds car. So all controls are on a ski-slope style center console with touch sensitive buttons. The hexagonal recesses help guide your finger so you know you’re pressing the right thing.
Digital display
No other distractions
Being the world’s lightest EV hypercar means the interior is rather Spartan. There’s only one digital display, but it shows you all you need to know: Drive Mode, battery charge, remaining range... everything is in one lovely place.
CarPlay / Android Auto
No selfies at the wheel
As tempting as it might be,you kinda gotta put your phone down when driving this thing. Luckily it comes with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ so you can mirror your fave apps, playlists and contacts directly to the dash screen.

The Lotus Evija has the world’s fasted charging battery. Its 2,000kW battery can take accept an 800kWh charge, which would give 100% battery in 9 minutes. Until such a charger exists, a 350kWh charger will get you 80% in 12 minutes.
Handling
Perfect for the school run
Fully-automatic, self-adjusting torque-vectoring instantly distributes power to any combination of 2, 3 or 4 wheels. In Track Mode you can add more power to individual wheels, making screeching into the school drop-off even better.
Battery
Power seat
The battery pack is mid-mounted immediately behind the seats to assist with dynamic handling, driver comfort and weight distribution. It’s also the most energy dense, lightest electric power package ever fitted to a road car.
